Electrified Monorail Systems (a.k.a. Automated Electrified
Monorail) contain individually motorized carriers that draw
energy from a track mounted unit.
Typical applications include production areas or delivery
systems that require accumulation. This type of system allows
for a wide range of conveyor speeds varying from 8 to 400 fpm,
allowing the carrier to accelerate, decelerate, creep into an
exact position for automated workstations, reverse travel,
travel on defined production centers, travel at very high
speeds, accumulate, etc.
In addition, the Electrified Monorail System can have an on
board computer ensuring decision making for alternate routings
without relying on the preferred centralized conveyor system.
